HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn - Wednesday, April 23,2008 - 10:00 pm - The Highway 58
Volunteer Fire Department had only been gone from the area for a short time
when Hamilton County Communications Center received a 911 call reporting a
house across the street from the first fire was also on fire. Additional 911
calls reported heavy involvement with flames through the roof.
The first Highway 58 unit arrived on the
scene within seconds at 6824 Buck Trail, several doors down from the first
fire. That unit reported a heavily involved residential structure. Incoming
engine companies quickly laid a supply hose from the same fire hydrant they
had used earlier that day. Firefighters rapidly pulled several inch and 3/4
hose lines and started multiple attacks on the fire.
This fire was quickly brought under
control by the attack crews. Although it was well involved upon arrival.
Fortunately nobody was injured in this fire. The exact cause is under
investigation.
