CHATTANOOGA, Tenn - Wednesday, May 6, 2009 - 9:40 am - Chattanooga
firefighters were required to extricate both drivers from their mangled
cars. One of the drivers apparently lost control of their car, crossed the
centerline and slammed into the other, head-on.
The crash happened in a rain-slick curve in the 7200 block of Old Lee
Highway. Fortunately both cars were mid-sized. Had either car been a large
vehicle the outcome would have been more serious or even fatal.
Chattanooga police officers investigated the crash while Hamilton County
Sheriff's deputies assisted with traffic control.
