CHATTANOOGA, Tenn - Wednesday, September 1,2010 - 4:00 pm - City of
Chattanooga Firefighters and Medics with Hamilton County EMS responded to
another accident with injuries at the intersection of Main Street and Carter
Street. When the first rescue unit arrived they reported a two car crash.
Within minutes, a medic unit was also on the scene. Rescuers immediately
started checking for injuries. One person was packaged and loaded into an
ambulance with what was believed to be minor injuries. That patient was
transported by Hamilton County EMS to Erlanger Medical Center.
Witnesses at the scene said once again the
crash occurred when one of the vehicles did not stop at the stop sign on
Carter Street. One witness at the scene said this intersection was quickly
becoming a hot spot for serious injury accidents. Luckily this crash only
resulted in one person injured. City of Chattanooga Police are investigating
the crash and citations are possibly pending.
