HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn - Saturday, August 28,2010 - 2:00 am - North Dade
County Fire Units and medics with Life Guard EMS were dispatched with Dade
County Sheriffs Officers to a reported roll over crash on Highway 299 near
the Tennessee State Line. Within minutes, several emergency units were
responding to the scene. Before emergency workers arrived on the scene,
sheriffs officers arrived in the area and quickly reported the crash was in
Tennessee. North Dade Fire crews and
Life Guard EMS units were responding from North Georgia, due to the call
coming in from the Dade County Georgia 9-1-1 center. However, the North
Georgia units were still continuing their response until the officer on
scene reported their was nobody in the vehicle or around it. Officers
determined the driver had climbed out of the wreckage and left the scene.
