DADE COUNTY, Georgia - Friday, August 21,2009 - 4:15pm - North Dade and New
Home Fire units were alerted with a Life Guard medic of a two car crash on
Hales Gap Road at Murphy Hollow Road. North Dade Chief Chris Lowrance
arrived on the scene first and quickly established command. within minutes,
North Dade Rescue 4 and New Home Rescue 6 arrived on scene with Life Guard
EMS. Crews almost immediately determined there were only minor injuries and
the patient did not want to be transported.
North Dade Chief Lowrance and Rescue 4
quickly returned to service while New Home Rescue 6 remained on the scene
for safety and to assist with traffic control. The cause of the two car
crash is under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol.
