CHATTANOOGA, Tenn - Sunday, June 26,2011 - 2:00 am - City of Chattanooga
Firefighters and Medics with Hamilton County EMS responded to a crash at
3488 Brainerd Road. When rescuers arrived on the scene they reported a
vehicle had collided with a semi truck. The occupants of the vehicle were
trapped and had to be extricated. Both the driver and the passenger were
critically injured in the crash. The driver's arm was severed in the crash
while the passenger received critical head injuries.
Brainerd Road was shut own for several hours
while crews worked the scene and police started their investigation. Charges
are pending, however police are still in the process of determining exact
scope of fault. The driver of the semi truck was uninjured in the crash.
