Fort Oglethorpe Firefighters Work A Dumpster Fire

  FORT OGLETHORPE, Georgia - Saturday, May 23,2009 - 1:00 am - Fort Oglethorpe Fire Department was alerted of a dumpster fire with structural endangerment on Windish Circle. Fort Oglethorpe Engine 1 arrived on scene in minutes and confirmed a fully involved dumpster fire.

Firefighters quickly pulled an inch and 3/4 hose line and started a primary attack on the fire. Several residents watched as firefighters made an aggressive attack on the blaze.

Fort Oglethorpe Firefighters got a very quick knock down on the fire. Fortunately, due to their quick work there was no damage to any of the neighboring buildings. The exact cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
