CHATTANOOGA, Tenn - Monday, April 25,2011 - 11:00 am - Rescuers with the
City Of Chattanooga Fire Department and Hamilton County EMS were dispatched
to an accident with injuries and possible entrapment in the 1300 Block of
Market Street. Within minutes, the first responders were on the scene. Crews
reported one woman with serious injuries trapped inside her car. The woman
and children in the other car were not indicating and injuries.
Firefighters quickly started using the Jaws
Of Life to start freeing the trapped woman. Meanwhile, EMS workers started
rendering first aid to the woman's injuries. In short order the woman was
freed and crews immediately loaded the woman into a Hamilton County
ambulance. Medics rushed the woman to Erlanger Medical Center with serious,
but non life threatening injuries. The exact cause of the crash is still
under investigation by the City Of Chattanooga Police.
