Single Vehicle Rollover Injures A Mom And Two Children

FORT OGLETHORPE, Georgia - Saturday, March 29,2008 - 11:00 am - Fort Oglethorpe Firefighters with Station 8 and medics with Hutcheson EMS responded to an accident with injuries on Boynton Drive near the intersection of Baggett Road. Before rescuers arrived on the scene they were informed that callers were reporting an overturned vehicle with entrapment. When emergency crews arrived on the scene they confirmed a vehicle was on it's top in the creek beside Boynton Drive.

Firefighters and medics were able to quickly and safely remove all three of the patients without further injury. The mother appeared to only have some minor injuries. The two children had a variety of injuries, none of which appeared life threatening. Medics transported the mother to Erlanger medical Center and the two children to T. C. Thompson's Children's Hospital.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the crash, although witnesses said the rain may have contributed. Catoosa County Sheriffs officers assisted with traffic control.
