CHATTANOOGA, Tenn - Tuesday, May 24,2011 - 5:00 pm - City of Chattanooga
Firefighters with Station 20 and medics with Hamilton County EMS were
dispatched to an accident with injuries on Wahatchie Pike near the Rail Road
tracks. Within minutes, Chattanooga Engine 20 arrived on the scene and
reported a tractor trailer overturned partially on one set of the tracks.
Crews quickly started checking on the driver. Meanwhile a Hamilton County
EMS unit arrived on the scene. Firefighters and medics worked together to
prepare the driver for transport to the hospital. The drivers injuries were
non life threatening and believed to be rather minor in nature. The actual
cause of the crash is still under investigation.
