Near Miss On A Cummings Highway Ramp

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn - Monday, November 28,2011 - 4:30 pm - A semi tractor trailer came incredibly close to being laid over on it's side when the driver attempted to back down an entrance ramp to Interstate 24 Eastbound. The tractor and trailer landed in a culvert on Cummings Highway. As the semi sat in the culvert witness said they could see the trailer leaning more and more every time the wind blew.

A Yates Wrecker Crew quickly went into action to keep the trailer from rolling on it's side. However due to the location where the semi landed, it was a very difficult task to remove it from the culvert without the unit turning over. Luckily the knowledge and experience of the wrecker crew kept the situation from becoming worse. The truck was finally brought out of the culvert and the driver was able to continue on his way.
