Firefighter Dusty Lancaster was laid to rest on November 14,2008 after
devoting his life to the career of firefighting. At 26 years old FF
Lancaster was a lieutenant with the New Home Volunteer Fire Department as
well as a paid career firefighter with the Catoosa County Fire Department.
Both fire departments joined together to give
the honored friend and co-worker a firefighters funeral. The funeral began
at 12:00 central time at a Whitwell, Tennessee funeral home. After the
service there, firefighters loaded the casket onto Catoosa County Engine 3.
The procession traveled several miles back across the Tennessee/Georgia
State Line.
After entering back into Georgia and
making there way back to the New Home Fire District, The fire trucks passed
under the honored two ladders, set up by Catoosa County and the Trenton Fire
Departments. The procession then made it's way to FF Dusty Lancaster's final
resting place.
