26 Year Old North Georgia FF Laid To Rest

 

  Firefighter Dusty Lancaster was laid to rest on November 14,2008 after devoting his life to the career of firefighting. At 26 years old FF Lancaster was a lieutenant with the New Home Volunteer Fire Department as well as a paid career firefighter with the Catoosa County Fire Department.

Both fire departments joined together to give the honored friend and co-worker a firefighters funeral. The funeral began at 12:00 central time at a Whitwell, Tennessee funeral home. After the service there, firefighters loaded the casket onto Catoosa County Engine 3. The procession traveled several miles back across the Tennessee/Georgia State Line.

After entering back into Georgia and making there way back to the New Home Fire District, The fire trucks passed under the honored two ladders, set up by Catoosa County and the Trenton Fire Departments. The procession then made it's way to FF Dusty Lancaster's final resting place.

Firefighter and friend Dusty Lancaster passed away after battling several months with complications involving some medical problems. Firefighter Dusty Lancaster will be missed by many, including Myself here at Carson Photos.
