DADE COUNTY, Georgia - Wednesday, September 28,2011 - 8:30 pm - Davis and
Trenton Fire Departments were dispatched with Life Guard EMS and Dade County
EMS to a three vehicle cash with entrapment on Highway 136 at the
intersection of Highway 301. Within minutes the first rescuers were on the
scene and reported three people injured, one with minor injuries, one with
serious injuries and another with critical injuries and that person was also
trapped.Firefighters with Davis and
Trenton both worked together with the Jaws Of Life and several other tools
to free the trapped woman. Meanwhile, other rescuers worked on the other two
patients. The other seriously injured person was also a woman and she was
loaded into a Dade County ambulance and transported to Erlanger Medical
Center. The trapped woman was freed in short order and loaded into a Life
Guard ambulance. She was also rushed to Erlanger Medical Center.
The cause of the crash is under
investigation by the Georgia State Patrol.
