CHATTANOOGA, Tenn – Friday, October 08, 2010 – 7:45 am – City Of Chattanooga
Police rushed to a reported crash on Interstate 24, just before the 27
split. With morning traffic heavy, the interstate quickly turned into a
parking lot as police made their way to the scene. The crash was a rear end
style with some of the cars hit extremely hard. Luckily all the injuries
were extremely minor as well. However traffic quickly backed up past the
Cummings Highway Exit, some 4 miles away.
City of Chattanooga Police worked quickly
to gain information and get the vehicles out of the roadway. Fortunately it
was only about 45 minutes before traffic was fully restored. City of
Chattanooga Police are still investigating the cause of the morning crash.
