DADE COUNTY, Georgia – Sunday, October 3,2010 – 9:00 pm – New Home Fire
Department and medics with Life Guard EMS were called to an accident on
Ballard Road near the intersection of Tram Road. When rescuers arrived on
the scene they reported one man injured and out of the vehicle. Firefighters
Quickly started assessing his injuries and then quickly decided to prep him
for transport. The man was loaded onto a backboard and then onto a stretcher
before being placed into an ambulance.
Life Guard Medics rushed the man to
Erlanger Medical Center in stable condition. There were no witnesses to the
crash itself, however some people that stopped to help said the man was
swerving to miss a deer. The car went off the right side of the road and
rolled as it collided with a tree. The road was completely blocked for a
time due to the crash. Georgia State Patrol Officers are investigating the
crash.
