CHATTANOOGA, Tenn - Friday, August 29,2008 - 3:30 pm - City of Chattanooga
Firefighters and medics with Hamilton County EMS responded to the corner of
20th Street and Washington Street, where a semi truck had turned over on
it's side almost onto the lot of Mountain View Ford. The cab of the truck
struck a sign, breaking through the front windshield. However the driver was
said to have received only minor injuries.
A local wrecker service was called to the
scene to upright the truck and remove the debris. Several hours later the
wreckage was finally removed with the use of air bags and several large
wreckers. Luckily this is not a major roadway for afternoon rush hour
traffic, so the backup was minimal.
