DADE COUNTY, Georgia - Monday, April 12,2010 - 4:00 pm - New Home Volunteer
Firefighters were alerted of a vehicle fire on Ivey Road, just off of New
Home Loop. Within minutes, the first fire engine was on the scene and
reported a heavily involved pickup truck. Firefighters immediately pulled an
inch and 3/4 hose line from the truck and started a primary attack.
Meanwhile, numerous additional firefighters and equipment were arriving on
the scene. In short order crews had the fire out and were conducting
overhaul. The exact cause of the
fire is under investigation by the Dade County Sheriffs Office and arson
investigators. Luckily nobody was injured as a result of the fire, however
there was damage to some personal property other than the truck.
