EAST RIDGE, Tenn - Saturday, January 3,2009 - 2:00 pm - East Ridge
Firefighters and Medics with Life Guard EMS responded to an accident on
McBrien Road between Weaver Street and Anderson Avenue. When rescuers
arrived on the scene they reported an SUV had collided with a pole.
Firefighters also reported the power pole was broken in half and laying
across the SUV and the road.The
driver of the SUV was quickly packaged and loaded into an ambulance. There
was also another car involved in the crash, however nobody in that car was
injured. The driver of the SUV was traveling alone. He was taken to Erlanger
Medical Center in serious condition.
McBrien Road was shut down due to the
accident for several hours. The cause of the crash is still under
investigation by the East Ridge Police Department.
