DADE COUNTY, Georgia - Sunday, December 13,2009 - 1:30 pm - New Home
Firefighters and medics with Life Guard EMS responded to a head on crash
about half way up the mountain on Hales Gap. When New Home Fire units
arrived they reported one person injured in on of the vehicles.
Crews quickly started to package the
patient, meanwhile a Life Guard unit arrived on the scene and rescuers
loaded the one injured patient into the ambulance. Medics transported that
person to Erlanger Medical Center with minor injuries. The cause of the
crash is under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol, However it was
extremely foggy and this may have played a part in the crash.
