DADE COUNTY, Georgia - Thursday, December 17,2009 - 1:30 am - North Dade
County Firefighters Responded to a reported vehicle fire on Interstate 59
Southbound near Mile Marker 17. When the first fire unit arrived on the
scene they reported heavy involvement to the front of a small pickup truck.
Moments later the first engine company
arrived on the scene, North Dade Engine 4. Firefighters quickly pulled a
hand line off the front of the engine and within seconds had the fire under
control.
The Interstate was shut down for a short
time, however after the fire was out traffic was quickly allowed to flow
again. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
