CHATTANOOGA, Tenn - Friday, March 28,2008 - 4:40 pm - City of Chattanooga
Firefighters and medics with Hamilton County EMS were dispatched to an
accident at the intersection of Sunbeam Avenue and S. Howell in the Brainerd
area. When units arrived on the scene they reported a two vehicle crash with
several people possibly injured. After further evaluation rescuers
discovered that there was only one person injured. The driver of a Kia
received some minor injuries in the crash, however she refused treatment.
Witnesses at the scene said the Kia was traveling northbound on S. Howell
and the Honda was traveling east on Sunbeam. Witnesses stated the Kia did
not stop at the stop sign and collided with the Honda knocking it into a
tree.
