BRADLEY COUNTY, Tenn - Tuesday, May 4,2010 - 7:06 am - Stan Clark, Bradley
County EMS PIO, says Tuesday morning Bradley County EMS dispatched two
ambulances and a supervisor truck to the intersection of Georgetown Road and
Paul Huff Parkway for a reported two-vehicle accident.
A Honda Accord driven by a 57-year-old woman
traveling on Paul Huff struck a Ford F-250 pickup truck towing an enclosed
utility trailer. Both vehicles ended up off the roadway and into some trees.
The trailer was detached and overturned in the roadway. Both vehicles and
the trailer were severely damaged.
Bradley County rescuers did have to
extricate the female driver of the Honda, unfortunately, she was pronounced
dead at the scene. The driver of the truck was checked by Bradley County EMS
and was not injured. Clark says the fog was "very thick" the morning of the
crash and may or may not have been a contributing factor. Names of those
involved in the accident have not been released.
Responding agencies were Bradley County
EMS, Cleveland Fire Department, Bradley Co. Sheriff's Department, Cleveland
Police Department. Cleveland Police are in charge of the investigation.
