EAST RIDGE, Tenn - Friday, October 2,2009 - East Ridge Firefighters were
alerted of a pickup truck on fire in front of the Superior Creek Lodge on
North Mack Smith Road. When Firefighters arrived on the scene they found a
newer model Ford SUV/Pickup truck heavily involved with fire. Firefighters
quickly went to work, pulling an inch and 3/4 hose line from the engine and
starting a knock down. Within
minutes of the firefighters arriving the flames were all but gone. East
Ridge Firefighters had gotten an extremely quick knock down on the blaze and
at the same time kept it from causing damage to the building nearby. The
cause of the fire is still under investigation by fire officials.
