TRENTON, Georgia - Tuesday, October 13,2009 - 7:00 pm - Trenton Fire
Department and Medics with Life Guard EMS were called out to an accident
with injuries and ejection on Highway 136 at the bottom of Lookout Mountain.
When rescuers arrived on the scene they reported the driver of a pickup
truck was seriously injured after being ejected from his vehicle. Rescuers
immediately started treating the man for his injuries and preparing him for
transport to the hospital.The man
was loaded into a Life Guard Ambulance and rushed to Erlanger Medical Center
in Chattanooga. Meanwhile, rescuers continued to search for a second victim.
The driver had told the first responders there was someone else in the
pickup truck when he crashed. Emergency workers searched the area repeatedly
for the other person and never found anyone.
Georgia State Patrol Officers are
investigating the crash.
