DADE COUNTY, Georgia - Monday, September 27,2010 - 7:30 am - North Dade and
Trenton Firefighters were dispatched with Life Guard medics to an accident
on Interstate 59 Northbound at the Interstate 24 Interchange. In short
order, several rescue units were on the scene, however the on scene report
was rather strange. Units reported a car struck extremely hard in the rear
by a semi, but the passengers and driver of the car were gone.
Rescue workers checked the area several time,
and even searched the wooded areas in the vicinity, but were unable to
locate anyone. The truck driver said that there were several people in he
car, however after the vehicle came to rest, the occupants jumped out and
ran away. Georgia State Patrol units are investigating.
