CHATTANOOGA, Tenn - Thursday, September 30,2010 - 5:00 pm - City Of
Chattanooga Firefighters were dispatched to a reported vehicle fire on I-24
Eastbound near the 177 mile marker. When firefighters with Engine 20 arrived
on the scene they reported heavy involvement to a Motor Home. Firefighters
quickly pulled an inch and 3/4 hose line and started attacking the fire.
Meanwhile firefighters with Quint 2 were arriving on the scene to assist. In
short order the fire was knocked down.
One lane of traffic was blocked by the fire
and remained blocked while fire crews worked the scene. The exact cause of
the fire is still underinvestigation.
