Saturday, September 17,2005 - Thousands of motorcyclists from all over the country turned out for the 12th Annual Trail of Tears bike ride from Chattanooga, Tennessee to Waterloo, Alabama. Most of the bikers where excited about the ride and started lining up near the intersection of 20th and Broad Street as early as 5:00 am this morning. By 8:00 the line went all the way down 20th Street and around Riverside Drive nearly to Ross Landing. It was an amazing sight as the dedicated motorcyclists traveled down Broad Street side by side. Across Scenic Highway and onto Highway 41 South toward Waterloo crowds of spectators lined the roadway waving at the riders. Story and photos by Bill Carson
