CATOOSA COUNTY, Georgia - Saturday, September 1,2007 - 5:40 pm - Firefighters with Fort Oglethorpe Station 8 and medics with Hutcheson EMS responded to a reported accident in the 900 block of Baggett Road. Rescuers arrived on the scene in short order and quickly reported all occupants were out of the vehicle. After a quick check of the occupants, crews determined there only minor injuries.

There were three occupants in the vehicle, two women and a young male. The two women, one of which was driving the car were taken to nearby hospitals to be further checked for injury. The young male stated they were traveling south on Baggett Road, coming around a curve, when the car just slid off the roadway and crashed into the ditch. The young male said they were not speeding when the crash occurred.

Both lanes of traffic were shut down while a wrecker pulled the vehicle from the ditch. Georgia State Patrol Officers are investigating the crash. Catoosa County Sheriffs Officers assisted on the scene.
