SODDY DAISY, Tenn - Saturday, September 22,2007 - 3:00 pm - City Of Soddy
Daisy Police Officers are struggling with the task of investigating a crash
that cost the life of a 31 year old woman and an unborn child. The crash
occurred in the 8700 block of West Old Lovelady Road, just off of Daisy
Dallas Road in Northern Hamilton County.
Rescue crews with the Soddy Daisy Fire Department and Hamilton County EMS
rushed to the scene of the crash. Hamilton County Medics arrived on the
scene quickly and almost as fast reported the woman had been fatally injured
as a result of the crash. Most of the Soddy Daisy Fire crews that were
responding were canceled.
Soddy Daisy Police Officers set up a perimeter and started their
investigation. Police do believe the woman was headed south on West Old
Lovelady Road when she crested a hill. As she came across the hill, her car
left the right shoulder colliding with an embankment. Unfortunately the
woman was thrown out of the drivers side of the car as it bounced off the
embankment. At this point it is believed the vehicle ran over the woman,
causing her fatal injuries.
