AFTERNOON CRASH TRAPS WIFE OF HOUSE REPRESENTATIVE

Monday, October 18,2004 - 11:50 am - Emergency crews with the Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department were called to an accident in the 1600 block of Hunter Road in front of the entrance to Hunter Forest.

When volunteer firefighters arrived on the scene they found Jeanne Wood, the wife of House Representative Bobby Wood, trapped inside her Lincoln that landed on it's top after flipping over twice.

The wreck was said to have occurred when the Lincoln she was driving went out of control after Mrs. Wood had looked down to try and gather some items she had dropped into the floor.

Firefighters were able to extricate Mrs. Wood within about 20 minutes. Mrs. Wood was transported to the hospital with what was believed to be minor injuries.
