City of Chattanooga Firefighters were called to a wreck on Highway 153
southbound, just south of the Shallowford Road off ramp. When rescuers
arrived on the scene they found a dump truck turned over on it's side in the
middle of the interstate blocking the southbound lanes.
The driver received some minor injuries
from the crash and was transported by ambulance to Erlanger Medical Center.
The dump truck was fully loaded with a gravel-concrete mix that took a while
to clean up.
